Where else but in a ham radio club can we chat about all the different things we enjoy about this hobby. At our next meeting on September 25, Keith/WB2NVY, a ham since 1963, will ask EVERYONE to talk about things we enjoy Check out this list and be prepared to share your thoughts on them when ‘net control’ turns it over to you.

Technician (entry-level) Licensing Class Begins September 17, 2019

Cover of the ARRL technician license study guideThe Fulton Amateur Radio Club will host a Technician (entry-level) Licensing Class starting Tuesday, September 17th, from 7 to 9 PM, continuing for 10 to 12 weeks (weather dependent).

The class will be held at the Oswego County office building across from MIMI'S restaurant in Fulton, NY. The main entrance is in the center of the back side of the building. Go straight in to the elevator, down to the basement, and turn left. The class room will be straight ahead.

Knowledge of Morse code is no longer required for any license level.

We will be using the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual for Technicians (Red Cover). Be sure it is the “Fourth Edition”, valid from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022. This info will be on the front cover. You will be required to obtain the manual on your own, as none will be available at the class.
