Starting September 4th, 2025, the Fulton Amateur Radio Club will host a free 10-week course designed for anyone interested in obtaining their entry-level Technician Class Amateur (Ham) Radio license. This course is perfect for newcomers to amateur radio, hobbyists, and anyone interested in learning about radio technology.
The class will meet for nine consecutive Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, beginning on September 4 and concluding on November 6, when exams will be held.
The classes will meet on the lower level of the Oswego County Office Building, across from Mimi's Restaurant, Route 481, in Fulton, NY.
Students will learn about radio and electronic fundamentals, tips on operating station equipment, procedures for communicating with other hams, license and operating regulations, and radio safety.
